We are seeking an exceptional Purchasing Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing the complete cycle of ordering, production, logistics, payment, and delivery for project orders, especially complex ones from the Architects and Designers industry. The candidate will partner with domestic and international suppliers on innovation, performance management, order placement, and inventory flow while actively seeking new international sourcing opportunities aligned with strategic goals. Experience in supplier performance management, invoicing activities, and the Stone/Tiles industry is highly desirable. This role demands a proactive approach to sourcing opportunities, managing supplier relationships, and executing seamless procurement processes while providing world-class customer services.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to 80000 per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with vendors to develop production plans ensuring timely product shipments.
  • Collaborate with sales reps, designers, engineers, and architects to determine project specifications and relay them to factories/vendors.
  • Manage the entire cycle of ordering, production, logistics, payment, and delivery of project orders.
  • Handle complex orders from the Architects and Designers industry, coordinating with multiple domestic and international factories to provide the best final product and customer experience.
  • Partner with domestic and international suppliers on innovation, performance management, order placement, and inventory flow.
  • Actively seek opportunities for new and alternative international sourcing that aligns with the category's strategy and goals.
  • Manage performance of purchase orders, ensuring compliance with all public law requirements as well as company policies and procedures, including import/export regulations.
  • Review and manage supplier invoicing and paperwork while liaising with the accounting and logistics departments to ensure proper payment and materials flow.
  • Perform additional duties as required or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the Stone/Tiles/Building Materials industry is a plus.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in product or project management, supply chain, business strategy, finance, or another quantitative field.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytical and quantitative ability.
  • Capacity to perform well in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines to deliver results.
  • Excellent communication skills.
