The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities Division, Children's Mental Health Bureau.
This position will assist with State Plan and Medicaid rules, Systems of Care and Special Projects.Responsibilities include administering and maintaining state plans, waiver amendments, and administrative rules; adhering to federal and state requirements and reporting; developing and maintaining communication with providers, stakeholders, other divisions, and departments, and participating on workgroups; and implementing and reviewing quality indicators and completing quality assurance reviews.This position will take on special projects due to the addition of new programs or funding by the Montana Legislature, the Centers for Medicare, and Medicaid Services (CMS), or the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAHMSA).Special project management could include initial research, implementation, and monitoring of projects.

Qualifications
Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
- General knowledge of Medicaid and behavioral health services and practices.
- General knowledge of fiscal and program management principles.
- General knowledge of service delivery and reimbursement systems.
- Knowledge of research and policy analysis principles.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human services, health administration, or a related field.
- Two years professional experience in health care, public health, behavioral health, or general program management.
- Experience with Medicaid is preferred.
- Experience with Montana Medicaid Information Systems (MMIS) is preferred.
- Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.
This position is open until filled with frequent screening of applicants. The first screening of candidates will take place on June 10, 2024.
