MKD Electric is seeking an experienced Director of Industrial Sales, who will report directly to the VP of Operations. This person will own the organization's sales budget and strategy and will lead the organization's sales team. This position requires an experienced sales leader and be well versed in the electrical design-build industry with a specific focus in the industrial end markets. Must be able to stand up and grow a best-in-class sales team in a complex & matrixed selling environment. This position also develops and executes a clearly defined sales strategy in partnership with the VP of Operations and other key stakeholders in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances MKD's brand awareness.

What you will do...
•Drives collaboration with other sales leaders in all U.S. businesses in order to deliver comprehensive solution sales to key accounts and target market segments.
•Develop executable strategies and plans to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives of the company.
•Execute best practices in sales and standards, develop and maintain the overall revenue growth plan and model ensuring scalability.
•Monitor and perform Root Causes Analysis on revenue performance, such as market conditions, customer behavior, sales effectiveness, pricing strategy, and product mix. Adjust the sales strategy as needed to achieve company objectives.
•Analyze forecasted revenue, identify gaps, develop and implement a strategy to course correct.
•Maximizing engagement with internal and external partners to lead the development and approval of a multi-year operational plan to grow revenue working cross functionally with service development, marketing, channels, pricing, etc.
•Working closely with go-to-markets teams to ensure strategies are executed through the organization and financial monitoring systems are in place to track performance against core KPI's like OI, revenue, and profit.
•Continuously assess market potential and identifies new business opportunities and synergies and mitigate business threats.
•Ensure that MKD maintains a differentiable value proposition within the various industries it serves.
•Monitor, analyze and reports on sales and marketing activity against company goals.
•Set specific sales goals that align with the overall direction and business goals; set appropriate lead and lag KPIs.
•Manage the vision and strategy and provide purpose, motivation, and direction for the sales team.
•Fosters Leadership development in order to build strong sales team for current and future ambitions as well as develop strong succession pipeline for key positions and future leaders.
•Partner with HR to recruit and retain top-tier sales talent. Function as a business partner to organizations business units' leaders to achieve sales short- and long-term objectives.
•Other related duties as assigned.

Preferred experience...

•Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, economics, finance, or 10 years equivalent work experience in the industry in lieu of degree.
•Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and manage a sales team.
•Experience accurately forecasting short-term & long-term sales.
•Successful background building and managing an inside and outside sales team - preferably within a regional and national business matrix.
•Demonstrated the ability to work with a diverse set of business unit leaders, including but not limited to executive leadership within sales & operations, and all other stakeholders.
•Extensive experience working with in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform required. Salesforce experience a plus.
