Located in downtown Tampa, the Straz offers a team-based work environment that shows our dedication to the community every day. This position will support the organization's human resource function, with specific focus on assigned departments. This includes recruitment and staffing, employee relations, benefit support, compliance, and training and development, in addition to a variety of other tasks in support of the HR function.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the full recruitment life cycle, including identifying staffing needs, job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and orientation.
- Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, issues, and conflict resolutions.
- Assist employees with benefits related inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Keep informed about labor laws, regulations, and best practices within the industry.
- Collaborate with departments to identify training and development needs while creating, implementing, and tracking employee training and development.
- Contribute to the IDEA initiatives and programs to support the creation of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Specialize in the knowledge of specific subject areas as assigned.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in the arts and cultural sector is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-4 years of HR experience.
- HR certification preferred.
