JOB SUMMARY: The Manager, Business Systems Analysis will oversee the business analysis function within the organization, ensuring that business needs are met through effective process improvements and strategic initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between IT and business teams. This role requires a deep understanding of financial services, agricultural credit, and IT system management. The Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and successful project delivery, with a strong focus on business process optimization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business analysts fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Oversee and manage business analysis for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring solutions are aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather feedback and drive consensus on requirements.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and documentation of business requirements for IT development teams to design and implement solutions fit for purpose.
  • Ensure detailed documentation, including business process models, business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows are up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and assist in escalation of user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Oversee the analysis and optimization of business processes to identify and implement efficiency improvements and drive the implementation of best practices in business analysis.
  • Conduct business process optimization feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for proposed solutions.
  • Assess and improve business analysis frameworks and methodologies to support strategic initiatives.
  • Guide initiatives for new product creation, from onset to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates business analysis aspects of project development, including resource allocation for projects.
  • Facilitates proactive collaboration, planning, and problem solving by providing cross-functional support though contributions to project teams.
  • Participates in the career development of staff, acting as a positive role model and mentors staff on object-oriented analysis.
  • Plays an execution role at times, as needed, on individual projects and/or across the entire project portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in related field, advanced degree is preferred. 10+ years of work experience as a Business Analyst with experience successfully leading large projects across business and technical resources; 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • A Certification from IIBA/CBAP or similar is highly desired. Commensurate experience within the BA environment required.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in banking and financial processes, with a proven ability to identify and address business problems and needs, and effectively translate them into clear requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring peers and other business analyst staff.
  • Proven experience in business process optimization and reengineering.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Project required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires periods of standing, walking, and the use of computer equipment. Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, talking or hearing, push/pull, stooping, kneeling, reaching w/hands and arms, and lifting at least 10 pounds.
