Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field
  • 15+ years of professional experience in systems engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Systems Engineer for designated programs, executing various duties as outlined.
  • Oversee systems engineering tasks, including requirements analysis, functional analysis, and the formulation of design solutions.
  • Utilize systems engineering principles to convert identified needs into performance parameters and system configurations.
  • Develop and distribute systems engineering documentation, processes, and milestones.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Systems Engineering Management Process and its application within the Department of Army/DOD Acquisition framework.
  • Provide expert guidance on technical aspects of assigned programs.
  • Conduct high-level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Translate military operational requirements into actionable system concepts and performance specifications.
  • Create and maintain essential technical documentation, including specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Engage in program reviews and design assessments as the project engineer or technical authority.
  • Evaluate design efforts to ensure comprehensive integration across engineering disciplines.
  • Assess test plans and reports for technical adequacy, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor system performance against requirements and evaluate risks associated with user specifications.
  • Initiate engineering change proposals and conduct configuration audits as necessary.
