Nutrition and Food Services provides nutrition and food services to patients in hospitals and clinics at Parnassus, Mount Zion, and Mission Bay sites. They operate a retail cafeteria and offer catering services to the Medical Center and campus community. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of food service and sanitation regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills At least one year of client/customer service experience in food service Current California driver's license and ability to drive the catering van Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word & Excel Ability to lift 30 lbs correctly and stand for long periods Five years of experience in catering food service Professional knowledge of food production and service Ability to work a flexible schedule Preferred Qualifications: Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration or Hotel & Restaurant Management Two to four years of supervisory experience in catering/food services Experience in research, development, and implementation of new food products Knowledge of health department regulations and sustainability practices in food service Experience managing in a unionized environment License/Certification: Valid driver's license and clean driving record ServSafe Certification or equivalent food protection manager certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
