Surgery Department Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our Coordinator team.

**Why We Need You**

As the face of VCA, the Surgery Department Coordinator sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities in our Surgery Department. The coordinator is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

Work closely with Client Service Manager & Surgery Department to meet scheduling needs and goals.

Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and aids tech during surgery drop-offs.

Manage Surgery Schedule: Appointments, Consults, Rechecks & Surgeries.

Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.

Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments. Create and present estimates for diagnostics and surgeries, field financial concerns.

Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.

Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on emergency and specialty pet care.

Managing medical records, charts, reports, correspondence, appointment and surgery-log up-to-date.

Manage/monitor the surgery service email and facilitate responses.

Help with daily updates for inpatients, including financial updates and revising estimates to reflect treatment plan.

Manage and updated estimate(s) binder as needed.

Consult with surgeon at the end of each day to round on call backs.

Fill in as a CSR or Specialty Coordinator at the front desk when needed.

This position is ideal for a pre-veterinary student and/or someone looking to gain veterinary medicine knowledge.

This position pays $18.29 - $19.00, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.
