We are a two room ambulatory surgery center in Denver looking to expand. We are looking for an administrator who is interested in running and growing our asc. Currently we have two rooms and only use one at a time with 4 surgeons.
A Surgical Administrator plays a critical role in the efficient operation of a surgical department or facility. They are responsible for coordinating administrative and operational activities to ensure the smooth functioning of surgical procedures and services. The role requires a combination of organizational, communication, and managerial skills to support medical professionals and ensure optimal patient care.
1. Resource Management:
- Manage and allocate resources such as surgical equipment, supplies, and medications required for surgeries.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure adequate stock levels of surgical supplies and instruments.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and track shipments to prevent shortages.
2. Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Responding to records requests with pertinent information.
- Ensure compliance with medical records regulations and data protection laws.
- Generate reports on surgical activities, resource utilization, and patient outcomes for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Maintain infection control and hand hygiene information.
- Manager physician and staff credentialing.
3. Team Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between surgical teams, nursing staff, administrative staff, and other relevant departments.
- Serve as a liaison between surgeons and administrative leadership, conveying concerns, feedback, and suggestions.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Assist in maintaining accreditation and certification standards by adhering to regulatory guidelines and quality assurance protocols. Spearhead and monitor quality improvement studies for the center.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
5. Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and implement emergency protocols and procedures for surgical department, ensuring readiness for unexpected situations.
- Train staff on emergency response plans and coordinate drills as necessary.
6. Scheduling and Coordination:
- Coordinate monthly maintenance of facility with generator testing
- Scheduling and speaking to consulting pharmacist for quarterly pharmacy audits.
- Ensure compliance with quarterly equipment preventative maintenance.
7. Staff Development and Training:
- Facilitate ongoing training and professional development for nursing staff, ensuring their competence and knowledge in oculoplastic surgery and related care.
- Plan and conduct educational sessions on new procedures, equipment, and patient care techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant experience in healthcare administration, preferably in a surgical or medical setting.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with medical professionals, patients, and administrative personnel.
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic medical records systems.

Maintain Quickbooks record keeping of Bank statements and Credit Card transactions
Reconcile Bank statement and Credit Card at the end of each month
Processing and distributing PASC mail
Accounts payable and receivable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour with bonus
