Our client is an international financial software company , and they are looking to hire a Credit Risk Analyst to join their team in Plano, TX . Hybrid: 2-3 days in office in Plano, TX. This is a 6-month contract with the opportunity to extend. The Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for applying defined procedures to independently investigate, analyze, and resolve queued fraud and financial risk issues. Responsibilities include: Making outbound calls to customers to validate payments or payroll transactions. Writing complete, succinct, and accurate case notes. Providing empathetic, accurate, and efficient resolutions to the most complex and escalated customer issues. Handling questions or escalations on suspected fraud from other business units. Working with others on the team to resolve questions, provide support, and follow up. Ideal candidate: 3-5 years of banking experience. Experience analyzing data. Quick learner. KYC (Know Your Customer) and decision-making based on data points experience. Ability to identify the behaviors and signs of risky financial transactions or accounts. Tech-savvy. Skills: Experience in risk mitigation within the payments or payroll industry (3-5 years preferred) with the ability to identify the behaviors and signs of risky financial transactions or accounts. Excellent research and investigative skills. Proficient use of technology with exceptional internet research skills. Ability to make independent and sound decisions and think on your feet in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to partner and work seamlessly across the team to effectively document and share problems, opportunities, and solutions. Must be able to work overtime as well as Saturdays and some holidays.
