Accounts Receivable Specialist / Collections Specialist



Job Description

PrideStaff Financial, a recruiting firm specializing in general accounting and finance positions, is seeking a dynamic and skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our growing team. The candidate will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. In this role you must comply with established policies and procedures.

Accounts Receivable Specialist / Collections Specialist



Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for posting all daily receipts of cash in various forms including lockbox, wires, ACH, and credit card transactions. Will also have the responsibility for account maintenance and filing of all information regarding these transactions. Additional responsibilities will include answering phones, reviewing credit release of orders, investigating account updates, and assisting in the collection of accounts on a daily basis.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of 20-day preliminary notice preferred.

  • Excel (moderate skills) V-lookup Pivot tables - formulas

  • Knowledge of commercial credit products, such as DnB

  • Basic knowledge of accounting processes

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Portal Experience (Taulia, SAP, Jaegger, Workday) is a plus.

  • Ability to work within deadlines.

  • Excellent analytical and people skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
