Summary of Position: The Senior BIM Application Specialist uses technical knowledge of BIM to assist the project teams and firm by ensuring consistent implementation and use of BIM processes and software. The Senior BIM Application Specialist works as part of a support team providing daily model support, administration, and maintenance. Responsibilities: Technical Expertise Creates initial Revit project setup and prepares for the production team. Creates and updates BIM/Revit workflow documentation. Provides daily model management, administration, and maintenance. Provides QA/QC of Revit project models. Understanding knowledge of Revit MEP desktop support Creates content, shared parameters, formulas, lookup tables and type catalogs. Integrates reviewed products with other third-party applications. Oversee BIM coordination with other design and construction management software. Facilitate collaboration and clash detection for a large, multi-discipline project team across multiple companies, organizing/leading BIM coordination meetings. Perform quality control checks on BIM models, checking work of others to identify QA/QC improvement opportunities for drawing sets. Project Management Works as part of a BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent 2D and 3D deliverable results. Writing BIM Execution plans according to project scope and needs. Demonstrates and embraces the office core values. Demonstrates entrepreneurial attitude toward problem solving. Maintains a professional demeanor with clients and coworkers. Develops job knowledge and technical expertise through participation in educational and professional development opportunities. Qualifications: 9+ years relevant working experience Possesses technical knowledge of AutoCAD CUI and Tool Palettes customization, configuration and deployment. Possesses working knowledge of Revit in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing disciplines, Issues in Revit, AutoCAD, ACC, Navisworks Manage Familiarity with Computational Design applications such as Dynamo Proficiency with Bluebeam Working Conditions: The position requires sitting, walking, and, at times, prolonged standing. Will be requested to visit construction sites and may be required to use ladders or lifts. The work requires both indoor and outdoor activity in temperatures ranging from moderate to extreme cold or hot and other weather conditions.
