Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Electrical Testing Specialist with extensive experience in design, development, and testing. You will collaborate with a dynamic product development team passionate about energy solutions driven by a meaningful social mission. Your role will involve spearheading new product initiatives aimed at addressing energy needs in emerging markets, from initial concept through to real-world demonstrations. You will engage with our Product Development team, external engineering partners, manufacturing staff, and supply chain collaborators to introduce innovative energy products to the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the creation of new energy products tailored for underserved regions, particularly in developing countries.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to conduct design and development tasks, including prototyping and testing.
  • Formulate work and test plans, delegate responsibilities, and mentor cross-functional teams, including technicians and interns.
  • Communicate project progress and challenges to all levels of management, from peers to executive leadership.
  • Implement advanced electrification technologies related to energy storage, conversion, and distribution.
  • Establish engineering workspaces, including lab setups and necessary equipment procurement for testing and data collection.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to collaborate with vendors and conduct fieldwork in emerging markets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience in the engineering sector.
  • Proficiency in energy storage systems, particularly large-format lithium-ion batteries, including safe handling practices.
  • Knowledge of energy conversion and distribution systems, including AC and DC power electronics.
  • Experience in designing and executing testing protocols to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Familiarity with rapid-release software development cycles for embedded systems.
