ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position will be responsible for inventory-related accounting activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory accounting for Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire
  • Coordination of certain accounting activities in the divisional headquarters
  • Reporting and variance analysis related to inventory and inventory valuation.
  • Provide reports for consignment location physical inventories.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and establish credibility.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and work well with and through others.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, a team player, and able to consistently meet or beat deadlines.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; handle multiple tasks; prioritize responsibilities; provide outstanding customer service and handle high pressure situations.
  • Strong self-starter and ability to work independently and with little supervision.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing programs
  • Proven history of logical thinking/reasoning.
  • Normal work performed in an office environment; occasional travel may be required to offsite locations for inventories, internal reviews and continuing professional education.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of Products, including Excel and Word
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Accounting/Finance degree required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
  • Inventory Accounting in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP system is strongly preferred.
  • Professional certification (CPA) is preferred.
