Position Summary

The Senior Financial Accountant at LHH Recruitment Solutions will manage essential accounting operations for the organization. This role requires adherence to established accounting standards and practices to guarantee the precise and timely preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate month-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial outcomes and compliance with corporate deadlines, including the preparation of journal entries and updates to relevant financial forms.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, ensuring alignment between ERP systems and reported balances, covering areas such as inventory, accruals, prepaids, unbilled/deferred revenue, and fixed assets.
  • Lead cost accounting initiatives and perform daily reporting and analysis of inventory transactions.
  • Analyze cost of goods sold, work orders, and manufacturing variances to support operational efficiency.
  • Assist the operations team with annual standard cost updates and physical inventory assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations through timely completion of account reconciliations and support for revenue recognition testing.
  • Oversee the tracking of capital expenditures and related fixed asset accounting, including managing the annual inventory of fixed assets.
  • Coordinate intercompany balance reconciliations with various company entities.
  • Support daily sales reporting and revenue reconciliation, participating in relevant operational meetings.
  • Prepare necessary tax documentation and interface with internal and external audit teams as required.
  • Contribute to quarterly reporting processes and assist the Finance Manager and Business Unit Controller with additional projects as needed.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at continuous improvement within the finance department to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience: 2-4 years in a manufacturing setting, ideally within a global organization. Experience with inventory account reconciliations is essential. Public accounting experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in accounting software such as Intuitive, Sage Fixed Assets (FAS), Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.

Personal Attributes

Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a self-motivated attitude are crucial. The ability to collaborate across departments and manage competing priorities effectively is essential.
