Support project team(s) with implementing Safety programs, policies, and procedures. Assist with implementing and maintaining a site-safety plan that meets internal standards and client/project contractual requirements. Assist with coordinating project safety programs with subcontractors/trade partners. Participate and assist with job walks, meetings, and other field operations to further develop knowledge of Safety means and methods. Assist with pre-job safety planning meetings to plan for potential hazards prior to the start of a project. Assist with reviewing job hazard analysis (JHA’s) to understand scope of work and mitigate risk. Observe and assist with conducting field verification and reviewing work in place. Assist with performing audits and implementing a pre-task planning process. Assist with site safety inspections, audits, and reporting to ensure compliance with company safety programs and external regulatory requirements including OSHA. Assist with conducting site safety checklists and other necessary safety documentation. Identify Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) hazards, evaluate issues, and assist project teams with identifying effective solutions. Work closely with Safety and project teams to observe and assist with incidents/accidents investigations including analyzing bodily injuries and property damage incidents. Assist with identifying root cause analysis of incidents/accidents; partner with project teams to prepare and issue accurate report summaries/documentation. Work closely with Safety and project team(s) to assist with implementing corrective action plans. Observe and assist with emergency response plans to develop knowledge of emergency procedures. Maintain accurate recordkeeping and maintenance of safety documentation. Assist and participate in regular safety meetings and project/field team meetings. Assist with new hire orientations and coordinating safety events. Assist with conducting general trainings on safety programs, protocols, and best practices. Assist with Safety certification coordination and tracking including basic first aid training. Ensure project sites have required safety documents posted on-site, order and maintain proper protective equipment (PPE), first aid, and safety materials. Communicate safety program changes to project team(s) mandated by corporate, legal, or otherwise. Attend conferences, trainings, and workshops to maintain knowledge and accreditations. Complete other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Requirements or Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or certification in EHS, Construction Management, or related field a plus. 1-3 years of construction and/or safety-related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of field and/or safety experience. Field experience a plus (e.g., carpenter). Basic understanding of schedule review and identifying high-risk activities. Effective written and verbal English language communication skills; Bilingual (Spanish) a plus. Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Teams). Experience with BIM 360 and CMIC (construction management software) a plus; ability to learn. Self-starter individual with the ability to use independent judgment. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong organizational skills. Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships. Acquired OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 a plus or can acquire. Bilingual fluency (English and Spanish) is required.
