Description

What you'll do:

Processing of payments to vendors and service providers for expenses, excluding payroll. Maintenance of accurate and complete records and files on all payments processed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Daily processing of freight invoices received from vendors
  • Match with purchase orders and authorizations
  • Accurately code:
    • Company
    • Department
    • General Ledger Account
    • Other Accounting Data.
  • Enter invoices into Accounting Computer System
  • Correctly file all invoices processed
  • Process all floor plan invoices and curtailment payments
  • Monthly inventory of floor plan units
  • Monthly reconciliations of vendor statements to open Accounts Payable files. Research of discrepancies. Correspondence with vendors/service providers concerning charges which are incorrect or were billed to CPS&S in error.
  • Record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered. Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data and keeping other records concerning costs of goods and services and the shipment of goods.
  • Keep records of invoices and support documents
  • Resolve discrepancies in accounting records
  • Communicates with other departments and branches as needed
  • Maintains an expected level of confidentiality
  • Satisfies/complies with all accrediting and regulatory entities
  • Consults with and/or advises CFO and/or GL Accounting Manager of problems related to the operations of the organization, branch, or department
  • All other duties not listed but which may be assigned by management
Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School degree required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of general accounting experience.
  • Previous (recent) experience as Accounts Payable Clerk with a medium/large-sized organization required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Demonstrates integrity, maturity, dependability, positive attitude, sound business judgment, leadership ability, and administrative skill in the performance of responsibilities
  • Above average skills in verbal and written communications
  • Above average organizational and time management skills
