Job Title: AR Specialist
Job Description
As an AR Specialist, your main responsibility will be to support our efforts to maximize revenue, improve financial visibility and control, and manage costs. This includes meeting month-end close deadlines, providing financial results in a timely manner, risk mitigation, and reducing material weaknesses. You will prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable, create invoices according to company practices, and maintain customer files. You will be expected to draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts, and contact accountholders to request payment. You will also create reports regarding the current status of customer accounts, research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts, and collaborate with the Finance Director to reconcile accounts receivable. Your role also includes assisting in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger, ensuring timely, accurate and reliable financial statements and reporting, and working with our external auditors

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Phoenix, Arizona and some days remote.
Work Environment
We have a bubbly personality team and a nice office that you will be expected to work from 2 days a week. You will be joining a team of 3 other AR specialists and an Accountant who reports to the Accounting Manager, Controller, and CFO.
