Bootz & Duke Sign Co. is a full-service, family-owned sign company operating in Phoenix, Arizona for 60 years We are seeking an experienced and dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist who is eager and committed to help continue our mission and success. The ideal AR Specialist candidate is an Accounts Receivable pro, with five or more years spent working in the construction industry. Proficiency with Sage MAS90 accounting software is also a must. This is a full-time, non-remote position, based at our office in West Phoenix.

AR SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data entry of all invoices                                                                                                                                               
  • Process invoices in a timely manner and expedite resolutions involving any relative issues              
  • Working knowledge of in state and out of state sales tax codes                                                                   
  • Record information electronically                                                                                                             
  • Assist with general ledger customer deposits                                                                                                       
  • Assist with monthly closing reports                                                                                                                          
  • Perform other administrative assigned duties as needed                                                                
  • Answering phones and receptionist duties
  • Timecard data entry       
  • Comply with OSHA and Company safety policies and procedures
AR SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Associate’s degree in accounting or in a related field or the equivalent experience    
  • 5+ years in accounting field with emphasis on receivables or bookkeeping                                                    
  • Working knowledge of accounting software, preferably MAS90                            
  • Knowledge of procedures and ledger balancing   
  • Knowledge and experience working with tax codes                                                                                
  • Thorough knowledge of credits and debits
  • Strong PC skills and proficient with Excel                                                                                                               
  • Ability to multitask and complete multiple projects both timely and accurately     
  • Comfortable working in a paper and digital environment
  • Familiarity working in family-owned environments is helpful but not required
  • Dependability and consistently showing up for all scheduled shifts
  • Ability to work full-time hours Monday to Friday
  • Ability to commute and work on site at our company in west Phoenix                                                      
AR SPECIALIST PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
 
  • Extensive and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk; gross and fine manipulation of one’s hands and fingers to work with computers, office equipment, and handling paperwork; near visual acuity; ability to tolerate loud sounds; ability to hear and speak (all up to 8 hours) 
 AR SPECIALIST WORK HOURS & COMPENSATION:

  • This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
  • Hours are Monday – Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm
  • Pay range is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE
  • Some OT may be available but is not guaranteed
