Part-time events support coordinator

The position starts as soon as possible (typically within 2-3 weeks) and runs through the end of September, with potential for extension. Ideal for those with event experience, especially in A/V, who can handle manual tasks and support various event setups.

salary: $25 - $26 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and routine duties in the following areas:
    • AV events
    • Conference room setups
    • Auditorium and stage setup of props, chairs, pipe & drape, speaker cabinets, mixing boards, tripods, c-stands, lighting fixtures, and cabling
  • Plan and perform diversified tasks to support the Bose AV Team in a customer support role
  • Make general decisions using some judgment in applying standard materials-related procedures
  • Prepare related documentation and maintain files/records as required
  • Prepare product or parts for presentation and/or use
  • Configure conference room tables, chairs, and desks to ticket service request layout standards as defined by in-house client
  • Setup AV monitors and equipment, easels, pop-up tents, AC power cords, and power strips
  • Attend event planning and preparation meetings to understand scope and plan of event needs
Shipping and Receiving:

  • Handle outbound shipments and/or unload product or parts from inbound shipments of AV and musical equipment, including but not limited to furniture and staging props
  • Use hand trucks and dollies to transport goods to conference rooms
  • Use a computer to enter and upload data and produce standard workplace service reports
Inventory Management:

  • Maintain an inventory of AV equipment assets on an Excel spreadsheet
  • Organize and categorize equipment in warehouse stockrooms for ease of access
