AECOM is seeking a creative and highly talented engineer to lead a variety of stormwater infrastructure and natural resources engineering, planning, and design projects in our Raleigh, NC or Arlington, VA offices. The ideal candidate will have experience with municipal, state, and federal stormwater programs and stormwater and water resources planning, design, and implementation. In this role, the successful candidate will manage and provide senior technical oversight for a variety of water resources and stormwater engineering projects in support of AECOM’s federal, state, and municipal clients. Experience successfully leading and managing projects of highly technical nature will be essential to serve effectively in this role. In addition, the candidate will serve a key role in mentoring and developing mid- and junior-level staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a project manager for stormwater planning, design, and implementation projects.

Lead preparation of project proposals and agreements.

Lead preparation of design and construction drawings and documents (including opinions of probable construction cost) for stormwater infrastructure projects (including green stormwater infrastructure and nature-based solutions).

Prepare, review, and seal design documents as a licensed professional engineer in NC and/or VA (where applicable).

Manage bid and construction phase services for a variety of clients.

Provide technical review of project deliverables.

Maintain existing client relationships and contracts through successful project delivery.

Develop new clients and grow water resources practice statewide and across the southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Attend client meetings and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

Coordinate with AECOM project team members (and subcontractors when used).

Provide technical leadership in the areas of environmental and stormwater management research, field work, stormwater analysis, monitoring, and water quality and watershed modeling.

Provide technical oversight and reviews of stormwater design and construction documents, inspection checklists, studies, reports, assessments, etc.

Participate in local and regional water resources organizations, as appropriate on behalf of AECOM.

Some local travel will be required in North Carolina and/or Virginia; occasional travel outside of local area may be required.
