The Lead Financial Portfolio Analyst is a critical member of the Psychiatry Financial Services Team and plays a crucial role in the overall successful support and management of funding for the Faculty & Principal Investigators (PIs) within the Department of Psychiatry and the successful project manager and directional support for finance team members. The Lead Financial Portfolio Analyst independently provides broad analytical fund management to a group of Faculty and provides critical support for complex budget, financial, or resource analysis for the department and various components. The role will include direct supervision of two financial analysts in post award management. The individual will also provide high quality, efficient, responsive, and responsible financial analysis, reporting and forecasting, and administration services. The Lead Financial Portfolio Analyst will rely on strong communication skills to be able to present and discuss data and reports to various client groups: staff, PIs, Department Leadership. The candidate will successfully research, interpret, clarify and apply all applicable Departmental, University and Agency policies and regulation, and to be able to clearly communicate the complexities of language around such polices and regulations. This position requires a high level of ethics and professional standards to handle sensitive matters with tact and sound judgment. The advanced experience of high level independent portfolio management will be significant as this position will be lead on organizational programmatic management. This includes developing and recommending internal policies and procedural changes; training and direct supervision of staff and developing standard operating procedures. Note: This is a hybrid-remote position, which includes a combination of two on-site and three remote work days. Required Qualifications Advanced degree in related area and minimum five years of experience or equivalent experience / training Advanced knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems Ability to identify, collect, and analyze information from multiple sources Advanced ability to effectively present complex finance related information both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner In depth ability to use multiple spreadsheet and database software tools to gather information for specialized, complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports Advanced interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization; advanced service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail.
