About the Role:

The Project Engineer plays a crucial role by supporting senior staff (Project Managers and Superintendents) in various aspects of project management. This includes coordinating tasks, managing schedules, conducting quantity surveys, generating reports, and ensuring quality control. The role is task-oriented and demands a working knowledge of fundamental construction project elements such as field management, estimating, and overall project management.

As a Project Engineer at Graham, you will:

  • Administer various duties related to project management
  • Update schedules and budgets, ensuring cost control measures are maintained
  • Monitor labor, material, and equipment activities on the project
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and on-site Superintendents to revise project schedules and budgets, proactively
  • identifying potential construction issues
  • Attend all project team meetings, meticulously documenting meeting discussions, action items, and key project deliverables and decisions
  • Oversee the project change management process, identifying change events, submitting change notices, tracking changes, and presenting them to the Project Manager as needed
  • Assist in managing drawings, drawing records, revisions, site instructions, and change orders
  • Provide support to the Project Manager and Superintendent in creating templates and supporting documents concerning roles and responsibilities for the project team
  • Record change orders and ensure timely updates to site drawings
  • Monitor payroll functions, conduct regular reviews of cost accruals, and ensure adherence to established procedures
  • Maintain quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and safety records for the project
  • Review Field Surveillance Reports (FSR), initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) based on thorough analysis and severity of findings
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Trade Certification or Technical Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field experience is mandatory 3-5 years of construction experience is essential
  • Strong presentation skills are a must
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required
  • Proficient use of scheduling and project management software is expected
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary range: 70k-100k
