Role Overview

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is in search of a Senior Associate for Energy Project Management to oversee the project lifecycle for dependable and cost-efficient infrastructure across our expanding data center portfolio. In this role, you will facilitate the delivery of Rowan's power infrastructure solutions by collaborating with leading utility partners to ensure timely and budget-compliant project energization, aligning with Rowan's capacity and reliability standards while supporting our sustainability goals.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a proven track record in managing multiple large-scale interconnection projects, including the development and contracting of both medium and high voltage solutions. A strong project management background, coupled with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability, is essential. You will engage directly with power utilities during the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of projects, while closely collaborating with internal teams such as site development, engineering, construction, and operations to ensure successful project execution.

Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 30% for company events, utility meetings, and project site assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration and energization of utility-owned projects supporting a rapidly expanding portfolio of hyperscale data center initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with multiple utilities and contractors to deliver effective power infrastructure solutions.
  • Negotiate and execute project agreements with utility partners.
  • Collaborate with clients to achieve energy-related sustainability objectives through the implementation of renewable technologies in data center projects.
  • Facilitate communication and deliverables between utility partners and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering or construction management) or a minimum of five years of project management experience in the data center or energy sector.
  • At least three years of technical experience in power infrastructure projects (five years preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Technical knowledge related to transmission and distribution infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, and operations.
  • Familiarity with US energy systems and interconnection grids is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with MS Project is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
