This role will oversee on-site construction management and inspection for roadway and bridge projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, direct, and manage project inspectors and materials testers in both field and office settings.

• Effectively coordinate and communicate with Owners, Contractors, and other engineering personnel.

• Assess construction work for compliance with contract specifications and plans.

• Analyze and monitor project schedules and methods provided by Contractors.

• Review and process Shop/Working Drawings submitted by Contractors.

• Evaluate and approve Contractor's Traffic Management Methods.

• Conduct or oversee daily quality control inspections of construction activities.

• Organize necessary materials sampling and testing.

• Prepare monthly payment estimates and track project financial health.

• Investigate and resolve Contractor disputes or claims.

• Compile and maintain monthly reports and documentation as required.

• Conduct final inspections and prepare project acceptance documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in construction management and inspection, specifically in roadway, bridge, and highway projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • PE License, ideally registered in Colorado.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, the public, and team members.
  • Familiarity with Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction and/or Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CDOT or local agencies in inspecting or managing federally funded construction projects.
  • Demonstrated skills in project planning, management, and execution, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Experience in bridge and structures construction inspection.
  • Proficiency in utilizing software systems (CDOT AASHTOWare Project SiteManager, PMWeb, MS Project, or Primavera) for effective project management.
