WHAT YOU WILL DO Research and identify potential vendors for equipment, tools, and machinery. Establish positive relationships with reliable suppliers, negotiate terms, secure cost-effective agreements, and ensure reliable and timely deliveries. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand upcoming project requirements and timelines and develop procurement plans that align with project schedules to ensure timely equipment availability. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement and asset management functions. Coordinate the ordering process, ensuring accurate specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines are communicated to stakeholders. Implement systems to track usage, condition, and scheduled maintenance of assets, Track and manage purchase orders, keep stakeholders informed about the status of equipment orders, and maintain detailed records of all equipment purchases, including invoices, receipts, and warranty information. Conduct inspections upon delivery to ensure that purchased equipment meets the required specifications and quality standards, and address any issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or other concerns promptly. Generate regular reports on procurement activities.
