Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a Senior CAD Coordinator to its team. This role will work in Lexington, MA and works Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. This is a contract to hire role that pays $37.75 per hour. Upon conversion this role offers increased compensation, an annual bonus plan, and a strong benefit package.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure compliance with organization’s policies and applicable standards and regulations regarding Engineering Documentation Control.
  • Provide documentation requirements to clients, including receiving, copying, distributing, and tracking project documentation.
  • Review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and work orders, approve or reject tasks, and notify initiators/authors upon completion.
  • Review and process documents, ensuring compliance with company document control practices and retention requirements.
  • Maintain SharePoint sites and project files; coordinate the review, approval, and processing of turnover packages to the electronic file repository at project completion.
  • Screen transmittals, project documentation, and turnover packages for compliance with policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Maintain and coordinate an electronic document database and provide new user training as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to documents processed in document management systems (Veeva/COMOS) and project-related issues.
  • Serve as a general resource for inquiries regarding related activities, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with the team to prepare detailed drawings of building alterations and additions, including plans, sections, and elevations.
  • Gather supporting data and prepare detailed maps of institutional property showing dimensions and specifications of buildings, water lines, sewers, drains, and related information.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance within the client’s training system.


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in CAD drafting, specifically with AutoCAD.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Technology supplemented by advanced course, work in engineering drafting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficient with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Recent experience using AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD drafting, specifically with AutoCAD.
  • Experience in architecture is required.
  • Reliable transportation (car) for consistent travel.
  • Experience in engineering documentation within Veeva is highly preferred.
