Command Post Technologies is seeking an IT Systems Administrator for our Home Office in Suffolk, VA. The Systems Administrator will work closely with the Information Security Manager, external departments, and service providers to design, implement, and ensure quality delivery of services. Primary focus of this position is Windows Cloud-based systems administration and user support, responding to requests such as help desk tickets, telephone, email and in-person service within the CPT headquarters, as well as other offices and offsite locations in accordance with CPT IT security standards.

Requirements

Security Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

  • Integrate enterprise applications with cloud services to ensure seamless delivery of data to all users.
  • Administer and provide support for the MS 365 Enterprise tenant to include SharePoint, Microsoft Azure (AD, Intune, Sentinel, Defender), and Office 365 Suite.
  • Administer to corporate SharePoint databases by developing policy designed to manage and protect data for various business functions using layered security principles.
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and information.
  • Provide general PC support to end users along with maintenance and support of systems and network architecture.
  • Provide direction, assistance, and support for remote locations.
  • Manage corporate IT lifecycle management program for all applicable hardware and software (includes physical security and A/V equipment).
    • Organize system and network documentation, procedures, and licensing information
    • Manage new system installations and network related projects.
    • Acquire new technology and open discussion on viable concepts and possible implementation, pertaining to network and system operations.
    • Stay current and on new system and network threats and security breaches.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date network through the acquisition of new technology.
  • Provide reports using various tools on application response time, system up-time, and routine maintenance tasks (i.e. backups, patches, and antivirus updates).
  • Create and maintain documentation to assist all users in the quick resolution of their incidents and enable users to become more self-sufficient.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures).
  • Maintain security compliance for commercial and GCC HIGH Azure tenants
  • Manage sensitive data, particularly Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Export-controlled as outlined in Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC, v 2.0).
  • Maintain and monitor Microsoft Sentinel SIEM application.
  • Monitor third-party hosting, DNS, and domains for corporate web site.
  • Submit annual IT budget, track financial status of IT department, and report to CFO.
  • Document standard IT guidelines and procedures pertaining to business continuity.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND BACKGROUND
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business
  • 5+ years of experience in IT including system administration and cybersecurity
  • Ability to work and collaborate with a team while also being able to operate independently when required.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Knowledge Management & Help Desk triage
  • In-depth understanding of MS365 applications and administrative functions, particularly Sharepoint, Teams, OneDrive.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC, AV, and printer hardware. Ability to perform basic hardware maintenance and troubleshoot effectively (includes mobile devices).
  • Experience automating processes using Powershell scripts
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Azure and Active Directory for commercial and government tenants.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable communicating with senior leadership and executives
  • Experience managing complex IT projects
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and maintaining systems and network infrastructure related issues
  • Solid understanding and experience in system/network security, particularly in DFARS, NIST and CMMC compliance requirements for DoD contractor network security.
  • 3+ years related work experience with Active Directory, MS Windows, Virtual Machines, Server OS and Cloud architecture
  • Experience working with vendors on troubleshooting and implementing new technologies.
