Assist in coordinating the daily tax reporting and accounting activities of management within the enterprise. Coordinate, plan, and manage the sales and use taxes and other indirect taxes of the company. Achieve accurate, timely and efficient accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies. Analyze and interpret complex issues and provide recommendations to ensure execution and compliance. Responsibilities

- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- File accurate and timely reports with corporate and government agencies
- Coordinate, plan and manage sales and use tax audits performed by various states to minimize tax assessments
- Oversee the preparation of accounting entries to properly record financial activities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the divisions for indirect tax accounting and complex tax issues
- Develop and oversee best practices and procedures for consolidation of accounting functions
- Manage special projects for indirect taxes, merged company s integration and tax compliance processes
- Assist in conducting training sessions
- Manage all indirect tax audits; represent the company at audit negotiations, tax hearings and appeals
- Travel to support business initiatives
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years accounting/finance experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated bias for action and proactive follow up for completion
- Proven ability to meet customer needs, build productive customer relationships, and achieve customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a team
- Agility in adapting to change while maintaining effectiveness
- Sound business judgment and the ability to work successfully with all levels of associates
- Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to drive towards results
- Ability to lead and motivate individuals from a wide variety of functional backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
- Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral/written communication skills

- 5+ years accounting/finance experience in indirect tax
- Certified Public Accountant
- Regional Accounting or Corporate Accounting
