About the Team:
This team provides essential services across the Americas for all of WMG's business lines, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and assisting accounting and tax teams with necessary information requests.
Your Responsibilities:
The Tax Analyst will handle tasks related to indirect and withholding tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing and processing tax documentation, including service tax calculations, filing, remittance, and processing of 1042 and 1099 forms, as well as VAT/GST calculations and submissions.
- Assisting in the creation and upkeep of a tax compliance calendar to ensure timely reporting of all indirect tax returns.
- Verifying documentation and preparing filings for withholding tax and other local tax obligations.
- Recording journal entries for differences between GAAP and statutory or tax accounting in the appropriate ledgers.
- Calculating the roll-forward of deferred income taxes and accrued income taxes payable.
- Ensuring that relevant GL accounts are linked to tax schedules.
- Supporting internal and external audit processes.
- Filing and archiving original tax documents.
- Assisting with filings for franchise business licenses and other tax obligations as necessary.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages:
- Spanish
- Portuguese
