Purpose As part of the Academic Affairs portfolio, the Curriculum Management and Academic Administration (CMAA) unit is seeking temporary assistance in fulfilling academic compliance and curriculum management responsibilities. CMAA manages academic compliance requirements, facilitates strategic projects, and administers the core curriculum and skills and experience flags. The Senior Administrative Associate will work closely with CMAA Director to complete activities related to managing the undergraduate curriculum change approval process; coordinate communications with colleges and schools related to program compliance with state, regional, and federal requirements; and collaborate with CMAA and other Academic Affairs staff to ensure the smooth operations of the unit as assigned. Responsibilities Organize and manage relevant documentation and records; schedule meetings for the Undergraduate Curriculum Review Committee, maintain meeting documentation, proposal tracker, and contact lists; respond accurately and promptly to related inquiries; and facilitate logistics for academic compliance communications. Serve as backup contact for curriculum change communications, including organizing accurate and timely responses. Organize and maintain CMAA files, correspondence, data, and reports in Microsoft Word, MS Teams, Smartsheet, and UT Box. Provide other administrative support services as requested. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree. Three years experience in an administrative support role, including managing complex processes over an extended period and coordinating service to multiple stakeholder groups. Demonstrated experience in taking initiative and seeking solutions within the boundaries of the role, including understanding when to rely on independent judgment and when to collaborate in decision-making. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators and to consistently offer superior customer service. Professional demeanor with impeccable attention to detail. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Experience working at UT Austin and/or at a SACSCOC institution. Two years working at UT Austin and familiarity with UT Box, MS Teams, and Smartsheet. Strong interest in state, regional, and federal requirements related to institutional and academic program quality. Hourly Rate $25.00 depending on qualifications Working Conditions Attire: Business Casual Business casual/smart casual for any in-person work. Jeans ok. Work Shift Hours per week - 20 Standard, Flexible: Start: 7-9 am, End: 4-6 pm Hybrid or Remote, given office space availability. Given the nature of the work to be completed during this temporary position, hours will be flexible and can be adjusted as needed, which will need to be discussed with the supervisor.
