Position Summary

At Empower, the role of Senior Training Specialist is pivotal in ensuring that our team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles. As a Senior Training Specialist, you will partner closely with site leadership and technical subject-matter experts (SMEs) to conduct comprehensive performance assessments, identify training needs, and implement effective learning solutions. In this dynamic role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust technical training programs. Your expertise will be crucial in auditing existing training programs, ensuring their effectiveness, and making necessary improvements. Duties and Responsibilities

Partners with site leadership and technical SMEs to conduct thorough assessments to assess performance needs, gaps, and coordinate learning activities accordingly. Audits support area training programs for effectiveness and continuously evaluates and assesses functional training for potential improvements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the alignment of training initiatives with business goals and priorities. Develops, designs, and maintains technical training programs for designated support area(s). Assists in the development of training procedures for the designated support areas. Facilitates engaging and interactive training sessions for employees at all levels, leveraging various delivery methods and technologies to accommodate different learning styles and preferences. Coordinates and executes training and qualifications for designated support area(s) qualified trainers. Monitors area training completion and compliance within the organization. Partners with managers and supervisors to drive appropriate visibility, accountability, and responsibility for training. Works with department management at all levels to plan and develop training schedules and coordinate logistics with external and internal vendors. Provides functional reporting for support areas in learning items, curricula, and completion statuses. Leads and participates in organizational projects and initiatives in support of training and organizational development. Acts as a training subject matter expert on projects, providing relevant guidance on training approaches. Develops training plans and schedules for new equipment and processes in support areas. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior training staff, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization. Executes the curricula change management process for the area(s) of support. Performs other duties as assigned

Ability to present information in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Experience utilizing a learning management system preferred. Technical writing experience is preferred. Excellent attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

and

3 years of training/peer training experience or a combination of education and experience required. Certification in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, and/or Training and Facilitation preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a production, bio-manufacturing, pharmaceutical, retail pharmacy or related industry preferred. Demonstrated key competencies in training-related examples or direct training-related experience in a Pharmaceutical or related business (chemicals, food, or other similarly regulated environment).
