In this Logistics Management Specialist position, you will serve as R4 Logistics Branch Distribution Management section lead and External Support Branch Director during Regional Response Coordination Center (RRCC) activations. Typical assignments include: Contributing to the development and maintenance of all Annex Ds, State Commodity and All-Hazard Annexes, and the Hurricane Concept of Resource Support via best practices for disaster deployments and Regional Response Coordination Center (RRCC) activation. Reviewing and approving State Distribution Plans as part of the State, Local, and Tribal (SLT) Emergency Management Program Grant (EPMG) and Readiness Grant program eligibility requirements. Providing Commodity Point of Distribution (C-POD) training, Logistics Staging, Resource Request training, and State, Local, and Tribal (SLT) Logistics Program assessments. Contributing to the development of the Region Logistics Support Plan for activation and implementing the R4 Relief Supply Chain as required. Coordinating with multiple divisions in Head Quarters (HQ) Logistics Management Division (LMD) to ensure timely support and resources can be delivered to R4 State, Local, and Tribal (SLTs). Ensuring commodity levels are constant at active Incident Support Base (ISBs), State staging areas, points of distribution, and oversees Incident Support Base (ISBs) close out, retrograde, and demobilization. Ensuring accountability and business processes are implemented, followed, and documented. Utilizing WebEOC for effective crisis management and dissemination of information. What else do I need to know? At FEMA, our mission is to help people before, during and after disasters, and every employee at FEMA has a role in emergency management. Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
