The Accounting Manager is a key business partner assisting the BU Controller in managing the company's financial information and processes. The Accounting Manager oversees the general accounting functions, including month-end close, corporate financial reporting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals prepared by the accounting team.

Analyze financial statements and variances to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Prepare and load financial reports to the parent company consolidation software.

Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.

Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and projections.

Oversee the AR and AP functions, including invoicing, billing, collections, payments, and vendor management.

Monitor aging reports, collections activities, and credit policies to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.

Establish and enforce policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient processing of AR and AP transactions.

Manages the accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation.

Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong problem-solving abilities.

Excellent management and supervisory skills.

Willingness to learn and grow in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

CPA is strongly preferred.

Minimum of six years of experience in accounting or finance.

Experience at a public accounting firm is a plus.

Management experience required.

Proficiency in financial analysis tools and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency with ERP systems and experience working with financial modules is desirable.
