Manage all aspects of sales activities within the region including daily management of sales representatives.

Basic Duties
  • Responsibility for overall profitability and sales performance within Western IL and East-Central Iowa regions.
  • Provide machine sales leadership at the West Branch, IA facilities including regional customer and product events.
  • Directly sell and support Massey Ferguson Compact & CUE product line.
  • Work from the West Branch, IA Store location on a consistant basis.
  • Understand theory of operation and sales features of all agricultural, application and precision technology products represented by Altorfer Ag Products.
  • Lead and participate in meetings and strategy for all dealership business within region.
  • Promote a safety first work environment.
  • Continually improve and reinforce teamwork while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma and 4 year college degree or 5 years management experience.
  • Territory machine sales experience is preferred.
  • Proven history of customer focused leadership.
  • Proven ability to perform financial analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent customer service skills necessary.
  • Willingness to work overtime and some weekends when needed.
  • Ability to follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel to trade shows, store locations, other sites for training and stay overnight as required.
  • Must have an outstanding positive attitude at all times
  • Must have PC experience with MS Excel, Word, and general computer literacy.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position will spend a good portion of time traveling to customer jobsites. May work in an office environment, sitting at a desk for a period of time to answer phone calls or use a keyboard to complete documents and communicate through email. Travel & work is performed under a variety of weather extremes, from wet to dry, from cold to hot. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level in shops/warehouse/customer locations may range from moderate to high. Must be flexible during peak season working overtime as needed. Position requires extensive standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling, talking and hearing, and using fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
