Position Summary PACCAR's Embedded Engineering department, which serves both Kenworth and Peterbilt, has an opening for an Embedded Software Engineer and Integration Tester. Successful candidates for this role will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver critical program goals across multiple projects and continue to enhance PACCAR's global functional and system development processes. Job Functions / Responsibilities Contribute to the development of embedded software using C++ and MS Visual Studio or MATLAB/Simulink per design of the software for next-generation electronic control units. Contribute to the resolution of defects as assigned. Create and execute test cases against requirements at the level of integrating embedded software modules from embedded software development environments. Test defects against the final integration of embedded software modules before delivering for testing software integrated on hardware. Monitor the effectiveness of the testing practice and bring about improvements through insights gained via analysis at all stages of the SDLC/STLC. Develop test automation frameworks, harnesses, and code libraries to enable the team to both uses and enhance them across successive projects. Develop scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets, and other programmatic test tools as required for test automation. Executes and analyzes automation test results. Contribute to the development of procedures and practices that ensure continuous improvement of high-quality, reliable software systems. Required Skills: Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevantdegreerequired. 5+ years of software testing experience. Willing to learn and use new quality processes and techniques for software engineering and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems.
