Job Summary

Echodyne is seeking a highly skilled Software Test Lead to lead our software project testing activities and drive testing efforts across teams and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead software project testing activities, working closely with product development teams to establish test criteria and champion design-for-test thinking.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and run tests to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Mentor and coach team members, including test engineers, technicians, and interns, to improve their testing skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Test Lead, Lead SDET, or related role.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience designing and running integration and system test scenarios for embedded applications.
  • Practical understanding of testing principles, methods, and techniques, including test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with C/C++, Python, and embedded Linux, as well as test equipment integration.
  • Familiarity with standard communication protocols and software development practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Desired Skills
  • Proficient in Linux as a test platform.
  • Advanced knowledge of C/C++, Python, and embedded Linux.
  • Understanding of sampling theory, digital filtering, and ADC signal digitization.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB or equivalent.
Technologies and Tools
  • Linux, Windows, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Docker, PyPi.
  • GCC, CMake, Python, pytest, pip, virtualenv, Visual Studio Code.
