Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction and leadership to software development teams, ensuring the successful implementation of complex business and enterprise software solutions.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions that meet architectural standards and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business needs, and develop technical solutions to address these needs.
  • Mentor and advise software engineers on best practices, technologies, and methodologies to improve software development processes and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and educate others on their potential applications and benefits.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring they are flexible, scalable, and meet business requirements.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders and customers.
  • Participate in planning and priority estimation, and advise software engineers on project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field).
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development or a related field, with a focus on enterprise software solutions.
  • Experience with database technologies, application development tools, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, architecture, and testing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and advise software engineers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT, with a focus on business systems development and implementation.
  • Experience with defect or incident tracking software, technical documentation, and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
  • Leadership experience, with or without direct reports.
  • Experience with source code control systems, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools, and systems analysis.
