POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Proposal Coordinator is a key position in charge of supporting a broad range of business development functions for SFC. Primary duties include leading the Request for Proposals (RFP) process, developing marketing, sales, and other business development documents and proposals in support of SFC's sales team members, supporting inbound and outbound sales initiatives, maintaining sales reports, and providing administrative, client service, and marketing support.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Lead the end-to end Request for Proposals (RFP) Process
    • Identifying, Tracking, and Evaluating opportunities
    • Leading and participating in strategic planning and proposal project planning sessions with SMEs and network partners
    • Developing the work plan for submittals
    • Conducting research related to the opportunity
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and proposal contributors to articulate complex facets of products and services
    • Communicating and coordinating with the issuer throughout the submittal and interview process,
    • Creating customized and compelling proposals, and ensuring on-time delivery of all RFP submittals
  • Utilize InDesign to produce on-brand documents, including RFPs, custom proposals, and business development collateral
  • Manage business development opportunities and client databases through our CRM software
  • Ensure document accuracy and quality through proofreading, production, and distribution
  • Conduct research and mine data for various new business prospecting and marketing initiatives
  • Compile and produce sales and marketing reports
  • Maintain the RFP department e-file systems (Dropbox, HubSpot, and other software)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related area of focus
  • Two or more years of experience in marketing, sales, and/or business development
  • Experience with CRM Administration
  • Experience leading the RFP response process, preferably in a related industry Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
  • Ability to create high-quality, custom documents through technical marketing writing and use of document design software to maintain brand and visual standards
  • Ability to proactively identify steps and opportunities to improve project-specific and position-wide processes
  • Exceptional technical marketing writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency using InDesign and Microsoft Suite
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Adept at taking direction
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high
  • Will be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computer
  • Office environment has intermittent noise

  • Minimal travel required
