Condominium Associates, a leading property management company, seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Business Development Associate. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for real estate and maintenance services, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sales Leadership: Lead initiatives to expand our maintenance services portfolio within luxury condominiums.
  • Client Understanding: Possess an eye and ear for understanding the pain points of the CAMS. Listen carefully to identify their needs and tailor our sales approach accordingly.
  • Proactive Maintenance Vision: Develop and implement comprehensive property maintenance programs, including routine services such as gutter cleaning and pressure washing. Identify and propose projects that improve the quality of life by noticing details like trip hazards and other maintenance needs.
  • Client Qualification: Quickly assess client needs and budgets, determining their readiness for our services. Work with clients to develop a plan that fits their timeline and financial constraints.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders, including Board members and potential clients, to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new opportunities through networking, attending trade shows, and industry events. Present, propose, and sell our maintenance services effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize experience in maintenance, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical services to assess and propose solutions for property needs.
  • Proposal Writing: Accurately review scopes of work, assess time and materials, and write compelling proposals. Schedule follow-up appointments to ensure timely responses and close deals.
  • Operational Oversight: Work closely with operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery, including overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and vendor performance.
  • Client Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction, addressing concerns, and attending Board meetings as needed to build rapport and sell our maintenance services.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Condominium, Townhome, Homeowner Associations, and Office Parks, with a focus on maintenance services.
  • Property Management Experience: Previous experience in property management and maintenance is highly advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to identify and solve problems creatively and strategically.
  • Flexible Hours: Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate client needs and deadlines.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial statements and general accounting practices.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the Bay Area counties to visit managed properties and build rapport with clients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintenance, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical services, and proposal writing.
