Upon direction of the Conflicts & Records Supervisor, the Conflicts Specialist will conduct conflict searches through appropriate databases on potential clients, potential adverse and other parties as requested for the firm as well as complete other daily tasks as needed.

DUTIES:

  • Clerical and administrative
  • Review conflicts requests for accuracy and perform conflicts checks per SOP
  • Conduct name searches,review and analysisfor the purpose of identifying potential conflicts of interest
  • Prepare memos/reports reflecting potential conflicts and forward to appropriate parties
  • Communicate effectively with other legal staff and attorneys
  • Provide assistance to staff with questions pertaining conflicts, file opening, file closing and related tasks.
  • Review file opening requests for accuracy and process per SOP
  • Review and process Conflict Maintenance Forms per SOP
  • Process file closing requests per SOP
  • Assist with any special projects as needed
  • Any and all other duties as required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have completed a college degree, and have a minimum of three years of experience in administrative office work.
