We are looking for a manager that is looking to obtain accelerated learning and career growth in a dynamic environment.

  • Salary: $120-$150k
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee general ledger inventory, prepayments, fixed assets, software capitalization, accounts payable and accrued expenses, as well as the expenditures from invoice receipt to payment
  • Ensure proper general ledger accounting to ensure GAAP and regulatory compliance, including intercompany transactions and charges
  • Design processes and work with the rest of the accounting team to meet GAAP and statutory accounting filing requirements, including processes to identify and streamline required statutory expense categories to support medical loss ratio reporting, quality initiatives, etc.
  • Seek areas to improve efficiency by improving workflow, setting up automation or better use of the existing accounting system
  • Establish and maintain internal controls
  • Implement policies and procedures to apply to the various health insurance entities
  • Assist the finance team with treasury duties
  • Manage and train the accounting team responsible for full-cycle accounting of expenditures
  • Cross train in other areas of accounting including revenue and general ledger
  • Assist the accounting team with financial statements audits and regulatory audits as needed
  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • ERP System Admin Experience a plus
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • Job is on site/hybrid in Austin, TX
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Preference given to candidates with public accounting experience
