Your responsibilities will include: Building and maintaining client relationships with life insurers, brokers, asset gathers, reinsurers, and investment bankers. Prospecting, identifying, and engaging with potential clients in the financial services industry to promote our solutions and services. Leading and building our business development team. Understanding client needs and requirements, and tailoring solutions to meet their specific business objectives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives. Staying abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities. Executing deals involving responding to RFPs, negotiating terms with clients, working with actuarial structuring team to develop models, working with legal to develop treaties, and preparation of internal approvals. Successfully onboarding the business, obtaining internal approvals, and working closely with actuarial, accounting, legal, risk management, tax, and senior management. Reviewing the appropriateness of our existing solutions and helping drive forward the expansion of our solutions and appetite over time. Building strong rapport, trust, and credibility with the team and corporate functions to continue to support an increased delegation to the FinSol organization. Developing a high profile within L&H business, establishing regular contact with our traditional team, stakeholders, and decision makers. Contributing to global FinSol topics as a member of the FinSol leadership team. Working on other ad-hoc projects or strategic initiatives as required. About you: You are a commercially astute individual with proven industry expertise and an ability to demonstrate both market and technical know-how. You continue to be driven by a desire to add value. Creativity, curiosity, and pragmatism are desirable attitudes. You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues as well as working on your own. Your preference is to be part of an international and multicultural environment, handling diverse tasks, yet always ready to serve the team and meet the business needs. Moreover, you ideally have the following background, skills, and mindset: Strong relationships with C-Suite executives (decision makers) at the top and middle tiers of life and annuity insurance carriers. Extensive experience of financial solution structuring in the US with both life and annuity business. Proven track record of success in business development roles within the US financial service industry. Proven ability to close multiple transactions per year exceeding revenue targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in accounting standards (e.g., LDTI/IFRS-17), solvency regimes (US Statutory and EU Solvency II), financial reporting, valuation, and ALM. Comfortable in client-facing capacity as well as working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Organized and self-motivated to drive forward ongoing solution development. What can we offer you?
