Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst

Work Location: Hybrid - Arlington, VA (2 days a week onsite required)
Clearance Required: U.S. Citizen, DHS Public Trust (EOD)

Alpha Omega is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support an IT portfolio within a PMO for one of our clients.The selected candidate will, at a minimum, fulfill the responsibilities below.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Decompose and document large initiatives into smaller requirement

•Write user stories that clearly describe the desired business outcome and contain Acceptance Criteria that enables teams to define the best solution

•Present documented requirements to stakeholders for feedback

•Suggest product improvements or enhancements to increase end-user satisfaction

•Facilitate and lead meetings with various internal and external stakeholders

•Manage SharePoint site to include technical capabilities in design and site architecture

•Manage Confluence Jira board for multiple teams

Required Skills/Experience:

•5 Years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst

•Knowledge of business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and identifying MVP

•Ability to gather requirements from customers in a proactive manner

•Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels

•Experience supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs into requirements

•Ability to test user stories against acceptance criteria

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to ask probing questions to business team members

•Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

•Intermediate or above experience with JIRA and Confluence

•Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Software Engineering Life Cycle (SELC)

•Ability to independently manage SharePoint sites

Required Education:

•Bachelor's degree in Business or an IT related field, which can be substituted for technical certifications or relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

•Experience working in an environment leveraging Agile SAFe framework

•Active or recent previous DHS experience

•At least 3 years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development

•Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset

•Expertise in transforming and building end-to-end environments using DevOps to integrate, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and operate multiple systems

•Ability to respond to Requests for Information (RFI) in support of proposals

•Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure

•Intermediate or above SharePoint experience with permissions governance, migration, and organization

Preferred Certifications:

•Certified Product Owner (or Certified Scrum Master)

•Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner

•SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager
