Position Overview


We are in search of dedicated Lead Business Insights Analysts to conduct both quantitative and qualitative evaluations on critical issues impacting U.S. national security.

These issues may encompass evaluating risks within the Defense Industrial Base, identifying inefficiencies in operational processes, and measuring how investments influence performance outcomes and align with overarching strategic objectives.

Lead Business Insights Analysts will be tasked with articulating data-driven insights to senior executives within the national security sector through data visualization, comprehensive reports, and presentations.

In collaboration with Engagement Managers, Lead Business Insights Analysts will structure analyses and supervise the efforts of Business Analysts and Data Analysts to deliver actionable, data-informed solutions.

To excel in this role, you must possess strong analytical skills, a curious mindset, and a commitment to making a significant impact.

Lead Business Insights Analysts at Govini are well-versed in utilizing data to tackle intricate challenges related to national security acquisition, innovation, and supply chain risk assessments.

You should have a business-oriented perspective and a solid understanding of defense acquisition processes, as well as the significance of effective program management. Your professional demeanor will enable you to engage in meaningful discussions with high-ranking DoD and government agency officials.

You will know how to structure analyses to address complex issues and foster constructive dialogue to identify optimal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with national security experts to address their pressing business inquiries.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of analysts to produce high-quality analyses and enhance Govini's product offerings.
  • Convert qualitative and quantitative analyses into objective and precise assessments of business operations, yielding valuable insights and recommendations for performance enhancement.
  • Present data-driven conclusions succinctly and persuasively to executives and government representatives.
  • Exhibit subject matter expertise in areas such as OSINT investigative analysis, Supply Chain Risk Management, industrial base, manufacturing, technology scouting, defense acquisitions, government procurement, and Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE).
Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Essential Skills:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, or related fields, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Strong business acumen and a professional demeanor, with a readiness to operate outside of your comfort zone in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to deconstruct complex business challenges into relevant, data-driven performance metrics.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting intricate analyses to non-technical stakeholders and distilling the 'so-what' from the data.
  • Demonstrated history of outstanding performance in delivering high-quality analyses.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and workstreams, learn swiftly, and operate independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills:
  • Current U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one with sponsorship.
  • Experience in or exposure to the dynamics of a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Familiarity with Python or R, and knowledge of SQL.
