Cambridge, United States proton.ai Full time

About us: The wholesale distribution industry is ready for a revolution, and Proton is leading the charge. The world relies on distributors to sell nearly every physical product, but despite its massive contribution to the global economy, this industry has been left behind in terms of technology. Proton is changing that. By providing AI-powered sales software, we're breaking through the complexity of selling millions of products and making it easier for distributors to anticipate and fulfill customer needs. Our mission is to bring the distribution industry into the modern age and the results speak for themselves. Distributors using Proton see 10x ROI, faster new hire ramp-up, and happier sales teams. In 2022, we raised a $20M Series A backed by Felicis Ventures (investors in Twitch, Shopify, Opendoor, and many others) and Battery Ventures. This year, we're laser-focused on driving customer growth. If you're excited about the opportunity to wear multiple hats, and continuously learn and experiment, now's the time to join the Proton team.About the role: We've had a great year so far, and with our investors' support, we're doubling down on our efforts to increase market awareness and drive growth. You'll be joining as the second BDR on a small but impactful sales and marketing team, where every effort you make is felt across the company.Your mission is clear: ensure Proton is on every distributor's radar. You'll report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with the VP Sales and CEO. In this role, your main focus will be reaching out to prospects, diving deep to see if they're in the market for a CRM, assessing their satisfaction with their current solution, and pinpointing the timing of their contract renewals. Your role is pivotal in uncovering opportunities and driving our sales pipeline. This role is an opportunity to gain exposure to enterprise sales. You won't just be limited to typical BDR tasks; you'll attend industry events, qualify high-value prospects, and sit in on calls with leaders of million-dollar distribution businesses. You'll gain firsthand experience in engaging with enterprise-level decision-makers, setting the stage for a future in enterprise sales. If you're looking for a position where your contributions are recognized, where you can work directly with leadership, and where you're empowered to experiment and take action, this is the role for you. If you're fascinated by the psychology behind sales, thrive on the challenge of reaching the right contact, and see each "no" as a step towards an eventual "yes," you might be the perfect fit for this role. With Proton, you'll grow as a seller, learn from experienced leaders, and play a crucial role in driving our growth story. We are looking to hire someone in the greater Boston area who is open to a hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office/week (Kendall Square)Your responsibilities:You'll lead the charge in cold outreach-cold calls, emails, LinkedIn-aiming to turn the heads of those who've barely engaged with Proton.Qualify leads and arrange meetings for our sales executives.
