Position: Business Development Manager - Remote (Boston, MA)

About the Role
CSG Talent is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a cutting-edge company in microbial genomics. As a leader in lab and bioinformatics services for the microbiome and infectious disease sectors, our client is expanding within the US academic market and seeking a strategic business development professional to drive growth. Key Responsibilities
  • Build expertise in Next Generation Sequencing and bioinformatics to effectively address client needs.
  • Collaborate with lab and bioinformatics teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Identify new leads and collaborations through targeted research and prospecting.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and support inbound lead generation.
  • Manage inbound leads through the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to post-sale support.
  • Conduct sales calls, demos, and technical consultations, tailoring solutions to client requirements.
  • Develop and manage client accounts to drive new business opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM and sales automation tools to optimize workflows.
  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in KPI-driven sales.
  • Proven track record of successful client engagement and service delivery.
  • Degree in Life Sciences
  • Relevant experience in multi-omics, genomics, or microbiome sectors.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and close deals.
  • Strong capacity to learn and apply new technical information.
