Our client, a medical device manufacturer with multiple products on the market, is looking for a VP of Manufacturing to aid in their growing operations in the greater Dallas area.
Must Haves:
Work with the executive team to set the company’s strategic direction and operational strategies.
Implement best practices to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans.
Drive innovation in manufacturing to improve product quality and production efficiency.
Develop capital expenditure strategies with engineering staff to enhance revenue and cost savings.
Champion continuous improvement of business systems and processes for better efficiency and scalability.
Build and lead an operations team, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance work culture.
Develop departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively to improve profitability and reduce waste.
Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and productivity.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant regulatory requirements.
Oversee supply chain operations, including production planning, procurement, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
Optimize warehousing operations for timely product delivery.
Oversee maintenance activities for equipment reliability and facility compliance.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Quality for new product development.
Plan facility expansion or improvement projects to support company growth.
Responsibilities:
BS in Engineering or similar discipline.
15+ years of proven progressive leadership within the medical device industry.
Extensive experience in FDA Quality System Regulations, EU Medical Device Regulations, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive change and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance and scalability.
Significant experience with computerized manufacturing management systems, methods, and an in-depth knowledge of computer-based ERP systems, controls, and capabilities.
This is an onsite role in TX.
