Position Summary:
This role is pivotal in steering both strategic and operational initiatives for the Lakewood manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and environmentally sustainable operation and development of the plant.
- Achieve annual safety objectives through a robust understanding of safety management principles and the capability to communicate and enforce safety protocols.
- Possess a thorough understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, including statistical process control and lean manufacturing practices.
- Meet annual financial and budgetary targets while actively participating in the capital budgeting process to realize anticipated benefits.
- Execute core management responsibilities such as recruitment, performance assessment, coaching, and professional development.
- Oversee a team comprising production managers, supervisors, administrative staff, and hourly employees.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A strong educational background in manufacturing leadership, with the ability to implement strategies that enhance quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Exceptional communication skills characterized by clarity, sincerity, and persuasive ability.
- Robust interpersonal skills that reflect leadership qualities, sensitivity, and a commitment to fostering teamwork through positive communication.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering; an MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management.
- Experience in managing production personnel effectively.
- A fair and consistent leadership style in applying rules, policies, and procedures.
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- High levels of personal initiative, energy, and a strong sense of ownership for achieving success.
- Goal-oriented, well-organized, and possessing excellent communication skills.
