**We are looking for a Client Service Representative to join our brand-new location in Grand Rapids Michigan VCA Knapps Corner Animal Hospital is OPENING in September 2024.**

**Location:** **2078 East Beltline Ave. Grand Rapids, MI 49525**

**Compensation** **:** $ 16- $ 18/ hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

**Schedule:** Full time and Part Time positions are available. The hospital is open 6 days a week, M-F 7am- 9 pm & Sat 7am-5pm.

**Hiring timeline:** We are eager to start assembling a dynamic team for this new location with hiring beginning in July and training the first week of August 2024 to ensure each associate is prepared for our grand opening in September 2024.

The Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. Responsibilities will include:

+ Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.

+ Scheduling and confirming appointments.

+ Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.

+ Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.

+ Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.

+ Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).

+ Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

+ Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that the facility is neat and clean at all timesboth inside and outside.

**Qualifications**

+ **Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience in a general practice or emergency setting with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.**

+ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

+ Willingness to jump in as needed

+ Able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

+ Comfortable asking for help and clarification when needed

+ Possess high attention to detail
